Suitescript custom code
Hi I’m new to Suitescript and was wondering the best resources to create custom code/script to auto choose lot numbers
I’ve done this in the past, and I would still be careful doing this. Make sure you have a solid understanding of Lot Numbering and how it impacts with transactions before starting. (Also, if UOM or Bins are in place – expect extra challenges)
I wouldn’t pick this as a “new to SuiteScript” project.
to show more context the wholesale department needs to track lot numbers (we only need to keep track of what we send to the e-commerce inventory) but our e-commerce site doesn’t need to keep track. so my goal is that all transactions for the e-commerce sales order form will run a script, this will help them do a bulk fulfillment.
Unless you store/maintain inventory separate for both places – you probably really do care about it. In which case, I’m not using a lot numbered item on my website, and I’m using some other process for it.
