SuiteApp question for technical assessment

Hi there,

I am performing an external technical audit of a company and looking to find out how long, on average, does it take NetSuite to approve an App on the SuiteApp store.    Especially for large applications?

We have an estimate from the company, I am looking for an external perspective.

Thanks in advance,

Hutton

If we’re talking brand new SuiteApp, and assuming you’ve already completed the SDN registration process, I’d estimate a couple of months.

The size of the SuiteApp is largely irrelevant but there will be some form filling, review, and a couple of walkthrough meetings. There will be a bit of a gap between each and so much of that time will be spent waiting/preparing.

Let me know of you need anything further.

Hi Chris

Very much appreciate the response.  Good to know that the size is irrelevant.

Yes, the developer is registered/accepted on the SDN and have estimated four months for the app to be available on the store.  So the investor wanted to double-check that this timeline wouldn’t extend to, say, twelve months (noting it’s an app NetSuite are aware of, it’s not new to them).

One other question to understand any risk – is there a situation where (a) NetSuite won’t allow the app on the store or (b) take the app off the store?

Thanks in advance,

Hutton.

Hi Hutton,

It certainly shouldn’t drag on but it’s worth keeping on top of things and pushing the process along.

I think it’s very unlikely for an app to be rejected but just make sure you’re well prepared for the technical reviews (not that it’s particularly intense).
The other thing is that I’m pretty confident it wouldn’t ever be a flat out no and so you’ll likely be able to refine the solution and resubmit, if anything significant.

As for removal from the app store – I think this is even more remote a possibility.

Thanks,

Chris
