Simple Saved Search
I am using a customer portal that gives customers the ability to run a saved search and see the status of their PO. The problem is that they can fully edit the search – both criteria and results. I thought that in the role permissions I just needed to go to Lists >> Perform Search = View. They can still edit. Then I tried messing with Audience and Roles in Saved Search itself with no luck. Any suggestions?
Is the “Allow Audience to Edit” checkbox checked on the Audience tab?
No, that was the first thing I looked for.
Does the role have Publish Search? That controls search edit rights as well as some other stuff (setting up alerts, scheduled sends, etc). Try removing that and see if they can still edit.
It wasn’t there. I even added it and set it to View just to see if it had any effect and it didn’t.
