Send email notifications on project tasks

NS doesn’t provide this checkbox functionality on the Project Task. But there’s a workaround to send an email alert when a resource is assigned to a Project Task using Saved Searches. Solution:

To create an email alert when a Project Resource is assigned to a Project task:

1. Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New
2. Click on Project Task
3. On the Criteria tab, add the following:

   —Select Project Task Assignment fields..
   –On the popup, choose Resource
   –Select the name of the Resource

4. On the Results tab, add the following:

   –Name
   –Project
   –Date Created
   *Add more fields if necessary

5. On the Email tab:

   –Check the Send Email Alerts When Records are Created/Updated box
   –Add Recipient/s
   –Go to Customize Message tab and add a message

6. Name the Search
7. Click Save & Run
