Hello!

We have a couple registers running NetSuite that are set up in a satellite store. They’re ThinkPad X12s and they occasionally get moved from place to place along with the rest of the POS equipment. We’ve had odd, finicky sorts of issues with them (mostly due to employees not liking them and/or transporting them loosely while still connected, leading to usb-c port damage, etc.)

We’re interested in finding out if there’s a recommended device that people generally find more rugged and reliable, giving the sense of a proper dedicated POS device.

We’ve talked to vendors but are more interested in what actually works best for most people. Do folks recommend any particular hardware? Such as HP all-in-ones or Surface Pro w/ peripherals?
