Question About Different Current Consolidated Exchange Rates Between Dec 2025 and Adjust 2025

Hi NetSuite Support,

I have a question regarding the Consolidated Exchange Rates in NetSuite.

I noticed that the Current (Ending) Exchange Rate is different between the Dec 2025 accounting period and the Adjust 2025 accounting period, even though both periods belong to December 2025.

For example:

From Subsidiary To Subsidiary Dec 2025 Current Adjust 2025 Current
JMM | UK Jacques Marie Mage INC 1.34384 1.29051
JMM | Italy Jacques Marie Mage INC 1.17392 1.07561
JMM | Japan Jacques Marie Mage INC 0.00638333 0.00649277

According to the NetSuite documentation:

Current Rate (Ending Rate): Applied to most asset and liability accounts in the balance sheet.

Since both Dec 2025 and Adjust 2025 represent the same month-end (December 2025), I expected the Current (Ending) Rate to be the same for both periods.

Could you please clarify the following?

  1. Is it expected behavior for the Current Consolidated Exchange Rate to differ between Dec 2025 and Adjust 2025?
  2. If this is expected, how does NetSuite determine the Current Rate for an Adjustment Period?
  3. Does the Adjustment Period use a different ending exchange rate than the regular December period?
  4. Under what circumstances would the Current Rate for an Adjustment Period be different from the corresponding regular accounting period?
  5. Is there any documentation explaining how Consolidated Exchange Rates are calculated for Adjustment Periods?

We would like to understand whether this behavior is by design or if it indicates that the Consolidated Exchange Rates should be recalculated or reviewed.
