ODBC Driver doesn’t install

I’ve downloaded the 64bit bundle.

When I run it – the installation wizard asks to choose a language, then shows “preparing setup” screen for a few seconds. And then just closes – disappears.

Please help

Michael

I know that this is old, but someone will come here looking for an answer to this, so…

Here’s what I had to do:

  1. Extract the installer files to a folder on your hard drive
    1. NetSuiteODBCDrivers_Windows64bit.exe /extract_all:c:\temp\extract
    2. Download a newer version of ISSetup.dll.  I got mine from here:  issetup.dll free download | DLL‑files.com (dll-files.com).  Be VERY careful here.  You could easily find your computer infected by downloading DLL files from random internet sites.  Any .dll file you download run through virustotal.com to make sure that it’s OK.  I got version 24.0.0.464.  This should REALLY be updated by Netsuite so that their customers don’t have to hack their way around this.
    3. Replace the ISSetup.dll file (in c:\temp\extract) that you extracted in step one with the one that you downloaded in step 2.  This should allow the installer to proceed successfully.
