NetSuite Test Automation

Hi

I work for a e-commerce client which has a NetSuite implementation to manage their back end processes. I am a Functional QA Tester doing manual testing of enhancements that are done on the existing implementation.  Recently I was asked to do test automation to automate all the manual testing that I do.

I would like to know if automated testing would be recommended for an application like NetSuite which is so huge.  Are there any open source tools  for carrying out functional test automation successfully for an app like NetSuite ?

While I know some tools in the open source area that help in functional test automation, I would like to know what tools best fit for a app like NetSuite.

Any recommendations here would be highly appeciated
