How do you get an error message from a failed EntityDeduplicationTask?

we can query a

EntityDeduplicationTaskStatus from an entity deduplication task however it is a boolean.

We are merging a customer record with a vendor record. It works fine when the vendor is an organization but fails when the vendor is an individual. We can’t get any debugging information as to why this would be the case.

Any help is appreciated
