How do I search by transaction amount?
How do I search by transaction amount in Netsuite?
For example, if I want to search by a transaction amount of $335.00 , I would like Netsuite to provide me all the transactions that involve that specific amount whether it’s a bill, purchase order, invoice, or journal entry.
Thank you.
As this is a very basic question, I think you would benefit from viewing the Help documentation found under SuiteAnalytics > Search > Search Overview

Hello Olivier. Thanks for your reply.
I’m not so sure this is a very basic question. I did look in the SuiteAnalytics > Search > Search Overview as you suggested but I did this prior to posting my question.
It looks like there is no way to search for a specific amount in Netsuite that brings up all the associated transactions as I previously stated in my question. I know that QuickBooks can do this but I don’t think Netsuite can do it unless I’m missing something? I tried using the Global search and the Quick search options.
Olivier is right, this is extremely basic with even a minimal understanding of Saved Searches. You didn’t list that as an option you tried which leads me to believe you haven’t worked with them before.
You would want a Transaction type saved search, and from there you could make your criteria Amount > 450. Far more nuance is available than that and I would echo the above comment that you should spend some time getting familiar since Searches are really the backbone to reporting and using NetSuite.

Thank you Olivier and Alex. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve used Netsuite.
I was able to use the Transaction save search option to get the results I wanted.
Too bad I can do it faster by typing it in the Global Search. It would be great if you can type it in Global Search with a “%” before the amount but that doesn’t work but nevertheless, the Saved Search does get the job done.
Best regards.
I am with you, the saved search works but Quick books does it 100x faster.
