Field character limit in Saves Search results
Is there a limit on the number of characters that are returned in a set of results. I am guessing about 300? If so is there a way to get around it.

It’s good to speak with you again too.
I don’t think there’s much that can but done here but I have found a way to increase the amount of data returned somewhat. You can go from about 240 characters to 1000 if you change to a Formula (Text) column in the Saved Search and just use the field in the formula.
It still truncates the data but you can probably add your own (more…), if needed, by tweaking the formula.

When you say a set of results, do you mean a particular field? And are you referring to a standard field or formula field?

What’s the type of the field? And are you seeing this limit on the record itself or just in the search results?
You may find that the search results are truncated in the UI but all the data should be there is you export, for example.

Hi Chris, I just noticed your username, good to chat again.
I realise, reading your questions, that I was not clear in my explanation of the problem. The field is a long text field and the problem only presents is self when showing the results in the list view. The customer would like to see the full contents of the field but the list view only shows a handful of characters and then adds more…
If you open the record you can see the full contents of the field.
