Adding a Custom Date Field to Calendar

Hi. I have added a custom field in Projects which is a date. I’d like for this to be visible in the Calendar for specific users. What is the best way to go about this?

For your custom field: you can’t. The only record types that will show on the calendar are Events, Tasks, and Phone Calls.  If you want to show another record to users, you’ll have to create an Event, Task, or Phone Call associated with the desired record.  These are typically available on the Communication tab and Activities subtab of most records.

Thanks for your answer James. That’s what I feared. I have played with the Events and setting up Resources, I just hoped there was a more sophisticated way of implementing this!
