RE: Trying to create a subtab on the fixed asset entry form

Does anyone know how to create a subtab on the fixed asset entry form?  I need to add a bunch of custom fields to the records, but I can’t seem to figure it out.  Thanks!

Assuming you are referring to NetSuite’s Fixed Asset Management module, here are the steps to add a subtab with custom fields to the Fixed Asset Entry form:

  1. Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types.
  2. Select “Fixed Asset” from the list of record types.
  3. Click on the “Edit” button next to the Fixed Asset record type.
  4. In the “Edit Fixed Asset” page, click on the “Subtabs” subtab.
  5. Click the “New Subtab” button to add a new subtab to the Fixed Asset form.
  6. Enter a name for the subtab and click “Save”.
  7. Click on the “Fields” subtab to add custom fields to the new subtab.
  8. Click on the “New” button to add a new custom field.
  9. Select the type of field you want to add (e.g., Text, Integer, Date, etc.).
  10. Enter a label and ID for the field.
  11. Check the “Show in New Subtab” box to make the field visible in the new subtab you created in step 5.
  12. Save your changes.

After following these steps, you should now have a new subtab with custom fields on the Fixed Asset Entry form.
