RE: Throttling/ Rate limiting in NetSuite’s APIs

Do any of the cloud APIs (SuiteScript/ REST/ SOAP etc) have any any rate limits?
I am not talking about concurrent sessions, but about a certain amount of requests allowed to be sent in a time frame.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, most cloud APIs have rate limits to prevent abuse or excessive usage. The rate limits can vary depending on the specific API and the service provider.

For example, SuiteScript and NetSuite REST APIs have rate limits on the number of requests that can be made per minute, hour, or day. The specific limits can be found in the NetSuite documentation.

Similarly, other cloud APIs such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Salesforce also have rate limits in place. These limits are designed to ensure that the APIs are used in a fair and responsible manner and to prevent overloading the system with excessive requests.

It’s important to be aware of the rate limits for the APIs you are using and to design your application accordingly. If you exceed the rate limits, your requests may be rejected or throttled, which can result in degraded performance or errors.
