RE: NetSuite Mobile PO Approvals

When using the mobile app, in “My Approvals” everyone seems to see the same Purchase Order approval list. Does anyone know how to filter this search to only show approvals by the logged in user?

Have you considered turning on PO Approval Routing? (Warning – this could be more than just a light undertaking)

Thanks for the reply! We have fairly complicated workflows driving PO approvals but  what we see in the app is a generic list of open PO’s. What i don’t understand is why it says My Approvals when that is not what is being shown. We could make a saved search to view in the app but I’d rather have My Approvals work as the name describes. I can’t find any documentation on how to change these settings or even what My Approvals is supposed to show so any advice you have is appreciated.

The reason I suggest turning on PO approval routing is that this changes the behavior of the approve PO page. This would update it to check the workflow against the record to determine if the approve button is visible. I would expect this to extend to the mobile application as well.

However, turning this on will require that you make changes to your workflow so that the buttons only show up at the correct time, and what fields they set, and you might have to mark all the existing ones approved before you can turn it on.

I found a SuiteAnswers article that says NetSuite currently doesn’t support custom approval workflows in the app. That explains the results we are seeing. As a workaround, we made a saved search showing pending approvals for “me” and added it to the desktop reminders portlet. This reminder is now seen in the app as well and can drive the approval process.

At the moment, custom approval workflow is not fully support in NetSuite mobile application.
This feature is tracked under enhancement:

Enhancement: 417858 Mobile > iPhone/Android > Native Approvals > When workflow is used there may be confusing count of records to approve
