RE: Discontinuing Support for Current Website Promotion Methods

Anyone else concerned about Netsuite’s ongoing withdrawal from supporting the current website builder forcing you upgrade to a much more expensive version such as SuiteCommerce standard or advanced? Been using Netsuite since 2007 and now many expensive modifications ($15,000) we recently made to our Website portion of Netsuite may end up being a waste of money. It will be expensive to switch to another website platform but we are worried if we don’t go during the next year we may be left without a functioning website.

I’ve heard the same feedback from a lot of my clients who still use Site Builder. NetSuite is obviously motivated to get people to migrate to the much more expensive SCA/SCS options, but SCA has a very high price tag and SCS is very restricted in terms of customization. That leaves a lot of companies in an unserved grey area who could keep getting good use out of Site Builder if NetSuite would just continue to leave it alone as they’ve done for 10+ years. I would assume that they will give at least 2 (should be 5) years’ notice when they actually decide to sunset the module, at least to avoid lawsuits.
