RE: Deposit Form


I would like to add a field to the line items of a Deposit Form to capture Project and Project Task information.

I was able to do this with Expense Reports, Vendor Bills, and Journal Entries.

Do you know if this is possible with a Deposit Form?

You can customize the “Payments” sublist to see other information on that view, but I assume you’re referring to the entry sublists of “Other deposits”  and “Cash Back”. If so, this is not possible to my knowledge, either with a custom transaction line field or a sublist, and is a constant source of frustration for us.  Best workaround we’ve come up with is a custom body field and then separating the deposits by project (but as a warning – saved search reporting on this can get kind of janky).  It’s either that or disable the feature entirely and make them process it as a JE.

Thanks James, that’s disappointing that “Other deposits” cannot be customized. I’ll let our accounting team know so they can decide if they want to split up deposit records.
