Improving SCA Website Page Speed
Our website page speed is currently at a 53 in PageSpeed Insights and only at a 10 for mobile. I’m working to improve the load time and looking for any recommendations out SCA users found helpful to optimize their SCA website.
Any insights you could share would be most beneficial! Thanks!
Which pages are taking 53s to load? all of them or a specific page?
Is this on initial or subsequent load ? Are you using CDN ?
Do you have any backend scripts running against the customer record or the SO in webstore context?
You can use the network tab to check which are the resources that are taking so long to load.
https://www.webpagetest.org/ it´s a great tool to check performance.
What were the recommendations to improve speed? From experience, many times optimizing images helps a lot, scripts as well but that doesn’t give much to leverage. I’d also try https://gtmetrix.com/ to get some comparison in the speed results.
No clear area where we need to optimize. I have been running in through gtmetrix and google page insights but the recommendations were all over the place. I think our photos would only improve the page speed less than 1%.

Did you make changes? Your site seems really quick for me!
We have made some improvements but it’s still painfully slow on mobile and still plenty of room for improvement on desktop.
