PO receipt

Hi, I am as green as the get in NetSuite. We are in the process of implementing it and I was asked to write a process to “receive purchase orders”.

I can extract receipts and associated POs from our internal system to match POs in NetSuite (if this is correct route).

I am not completely new to API processing but need someone’s guidance on where to even start. I hope some can help by pointing me to the right documentation/youtube to get started.

Thanks,

Eugene

So you are writing an integration? And as part of that you need to receive POs?

Are you using SuiteTalk or REST Web Services? Or other?

We are in the process of setting up NS, but my task is to write a routine that will “receive purchase orders” on daily basis. I would like to use REST API for it if possible.

NS is not our ERP, but financial package. I can pull all receipts and associated purchase orders from our ERP. I’d think I will need then make a call to NS to pull the list or purchase orders, match them with the list I have from our ERP and update them.

Please let me know if I am completely off.

Hi,

That sounds reasonable. Have you been able to set up a connection using the REST API in Postman?

Thanks,

Chris
