Making Cost Estimate fields Mandatory

Hi All.  Has anyone has success in scripting the Cost Estimate fields on the Estimate / Sales Order records to be made mandatory? Looking for recommendations to get this done. Thanks in advance

if it is a sublist field then you can easily make it mandatory using a simple workflow – lookup in suiteawnswer on how to do it – #40492
