Saved Search Help – Email

hello, working on a saved search to report back any bills where the communication-messages fields are blank so that we can go back and invoice the clients.  i’m assuming i need to start this by searching for any invoice transactions where the communication field is blank, but i’m not sure what search type to start with.  any guidance?

Are you saying you want to find bills where there are no messages yet, or bills where there are messages, but certain fields on the messages are blank?

I want to find invoices (revenue side) where we have not sent an email/message to the customer.  I’ve tried the below, but it returns invoices that have saved messages in the record.

What you’re really looking for is not a particular field like Message. You’re trying to see if there are any message sublist records for an invoice. So, instead of using the message field for your search criteria, do a lookup of the messages record (Select “Messages … “) and select the Internal ID field from the message record, then set the value to “none”. Basically you’re looking for messages where there is no internal ID. That should give you the results you’re looking for.

Kind of confusing but from what I gathered…

Not sure exactly how your workflow is set hence the ‘message fields’ but you should be able to create a saved search either at invoice or bill type and invoke the status of those to get a report/search that will give you results.
