Is there a way to identify different type of Journals?
We would like to only send some type of Journals for Approval. How can i identify the below type of Journals?
- Accrual
- Allocation – There is a flag is Allocation. Can i use that?
- Recurring
- Statistical – There is a flag Statistical. Can i use that?
- Amortization
- Intercompany
- Subledgers
- Reversal – There is a flag is Reversal. Can i use that?

workflow wise you can differentiate the following JE type (which are prat of transaction sub type)
- Advanced Intercompany JE
- JE
- Statistical JE
Rest you cannot directly unless you create custom list and tag the JE according to your types. Then use that field value in the workflow to route it for approval or automatically approve it if no specific approval is not needed.
