If ‘Anyone can set item accounts’ isn’t Checked who can?
There is a checkbox field called ‘ANYONE CAN SET ITEM ACCOUNTS’ in Accounting Preferences->Items/Transactions under the Accounts subgroup. The field is below with it’s unhelpful help text shown.
If this is unchecked what permissions would you need to change item account fields? What roles would be expected to have those permissions?
This preference, when ticked, means that as long as the user has access to create or edit an item he/she will also have access to select the GL account/s that goes with it.
If this is unticked, this means that only users with access to the Chart of Accounts can select the GL account/s that goes with the item.
