How do you add a date range to a report?

I’m trying to create a report that will give a weekly total of the customers we onboard each but it doesn’t seem to be giving me accurate information. I also want the week dates to show not the week#,

Create a Customer saved search, then have Summary Type of Group on Date Created or Date Closed field and function as Calendar Week (not Week of Year) and then additional Summary Type of Count on Name Field
