Get journal entries data from Netsuite to Power BI

Hello,

I need to get journal entries data via Power BI.

What is the best practice to connect? API? ODBC?

Thank you

Yes! There is a way simpler way than ODBC. Check out www.tacticalconnect.com for a saved search based connector that lives in NetSuite.

Thank you,

I don’t want to use 3-d party tool.

Instead, I am looking for some guidance – how to get accounting data via API.

I cannot find any documentation that describes financial tables…

Anyone can share some SuiteQL queries?

Thank you!

If you don’t have a third party connector to PowerBI, I would recomend ODBC. It’s more flexible than using the API.

But how can I set up ODBC?

I couldn’t find any documentation that doesn’t include 3-d party tools.

Please help

Thank you

You need to have SuiteAnalytics Connect available in your account (it has an additional cost).  You can verify it on Setup > Company > Enable Features > Analytics tab. If it’s not listed there, you company has not provisioned the service.

If it is present, then enable it, then check the docs at https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/netsuitecs_gs/NSALC/NSALC.pdf
