Error reporting from setting getAuth field

I’m designing a script that will set the getAuth field on Sales Orders to true according to some conditions.  Setting that field via scripting is trivial. However, I am looking for documentation that describes capturing card authentication errors (a bad number, card declined, etc).

Where can I pull card authentication errors that happen as a result of the getAuth being set in scripting?

Will depend on the features in use by your payment processor. Your first attempt should be a Payment Event search
