Can’t use global search when logged in under Advanced Partner Center

I’m setting up some people in the Advanced Partner Center. While testing I noticed the global search doesn’t yield results. For example, if I enter an item number, it says results not found. All global search settings are set to true.  Is there another way for the partner to search for items?
