Set field value on custom item field.

We created a custom field and applied to inventory item.  We had also created a summary saved searches and the result had one column with the item # and the second column with numerical value.  How do we set the custom field value by sourcing from the saved searches numerical value?  Please help.  We could use use workflow, script, or anything to accomplish this task.

Check out “Creating Custom Fields with Values Derived from Summary Search Results” SuiteAnswers ID 31727. Sounds like you need to remove the item # column and add a filter with the item, but there may be some additional steps you need to work through that I’m glossing over, so definitely run through that article and the linked articles where appropriate.

Turn out the custom field type “item” field is not supported for this purpose.  Thank you however.
