Search for Item Groups with Items that had transactions today

I’d like to create a search of all Item Groups where one of the member inventory items had a transaction today. Is this even possible given there’s no way to reference the member items transaction fields?

Scheduled Script or Map/Reduce could set field values for you – this would be the “most” effective/streamlined.
However, you could use a combination of several scheduled workflows to make this work. However – you’d be somewhat time delayed there, so it wouldn’t be my first option/choice.
If you could join from the item record to the transaction, I think this would be possible in SuiteAnalytics Workbook, but it looks like you can’t do that join in SAW even though you can in a saved search. Super sad face.
