How to Restrict Items on NetSuite based on Department, Roles or User
Is there a way to set restrictions on Items to be assignable to Sales Orders or even used within NetSuite based on a specific Department, Role or User?
Similar to how you can give access to saved searches and reports to specific groups, is there a way to do this for Items or Inventory as well?
There is a field called “Departments” under Classification on all Item Records but it is not clear what that is used for.
There is a tab on the role called Restrictions where you can restrict users to records based on department, class, or location. You can also just create a saved search for the items and apply it as a filter on the custom form under the Sublist fields tab.
