I want to restrict parent record name in a field that has a list record type of “entity”
We have a custom field of receipt that has source list of entity. For customers that has relationship it shows me value like abc:def. I want to restrict parent name(abc). I want to make it show only child’s name(def). Is there any way?
Only Show Last Subentity in your user preferences.
I did but it still carrying parent’s name as its a popup list.

That’s not true. For a custom field, you can set whether it shows the hierarchy or not. Set preferences, I believe, will only affect the native fields.
If you open up the custom field, look under the “display” tab. There should be check box that says. “Show Hierarchy” make sure that’s unchecked.
