After you assign a units type to an item, the item’s unit type cannot be changed. Also, after a unit type is assigned to any item, the units type cannot be edited except to add more units.

Question, if the item record haven’t yet inputted a Primary Unit, there’s a possible way to input it even the item record was already saved?

Hi,

“After you assign a units type to an item, the item’s unit type cannot be changed. Also, after a unit type is assigned to any item, the units type cannot be edited except to add more units.”

In the past we have renamed (Ex. add XXX to start of item name) and reimported the items with the correct units type. This allows you to keep the same item name and create the item with the correct units, the downside is you lose the transaction history but we could not find an alternative.

You can try to update using csv, I did it earlier and it works. Here’s the template that I used.

– internal id (required)
– Units Type
– PRIMARY STOCK UNIT (optional)
– PRIMARY PURCHASE UNIT (optional)
– PRIMARY SALE UNIT (optional)
– Prefix (optional)
– Minimum Digit (optional)
those header depends on your custom form.
