How to find all related records?
Hi, What is the best method for finding all of the related records of a transaction? I currently have a PO, Invoice , Payments and a Deposit that were posted against the SO. I’ve deleted the Deposit and the Payment against the SOs Invoice such that there are no Related Records lists in the Invoices Related Records tab, however, I’m still getting the following errors when trying to delete the invoice:
I don’t have any Bills or Expenses paid on the Invoice and there are no Payments against it either? I have deleted everything I can think of related to the Invoice record. What else could it be and how do you find the related records? Thanks!
2019-10-29 Update: There is apparently a regression in NS regarding Invoices which are created by transforming Sales Orders via SuiteFlow. The bug prevents some of those created Invoices from being deleted due to non-existent related records.
2019-11-05 Update: The Related records have been found they were Workflows that had not terminated. It is also possible that an Active workflow on a Sales Order can prevent the deletion of an Invoice if it is transformed from that Sales Order.
do a saved search to find out “applied to transactions” and “applying transactions” should give you all the referenced records
2019-11-05 Update:
To find all the related records you also possibly need to find any Active Workflows with the following:
Thanks for that info it’s quite helpful however it did not find the relevant offending documents to delete to remove the Invoice record. The saved search was created with the following parameters:
and the results only found the existing SO that is associated with the Invoice record and no other transactions or records. As a follow up, I believe your answer is the correct one if there weren’t a now identified deficiency in the following case: An Invoice created by a Transform SuiteFlow action. I imagine this is a regression.
