Are you talking about an actual field on a bank deposit? Or do you mean the posting column on the gl impact.

“Is posting” if I understand what you are saying is not a status that can be changed on standard transactions without a custom GL impact script.

I would not advise fudging with make deposit as well. Perhaps a custom transaction might suit your process better.
