Generate Statement in Safari
As of at least yesterday, Generate Statement seems to be broken in Safari. In other browsers (tested in Firefox & Chrome) when you click the Print button the statement appears in a separate tab. In Safari (v13.0.2) the separate tab doesn’t open and the statement is not displayed.
Has anyone else come across this bug? NS support is saying they won’t fix it 🙁
Oh I’m a big fan of Chrome, but my team is very much Safari-brained and it’s hard to get them to switch. NS should stop claiming that Safari is a supported browser if they are going to “U7 defect” issues with Safari. I don’t think it’s unreasonable that an Oracle product we pay tens of thousands of dollars a year for should work in the default Mac browser.
Note that as web browser safari is not compatible with many SaaS application. And as defect if there are work around (like here Chrome and FF) NS will not fix it – specifically in this case problem is with Safari, which doesn’t follow W3C HTML standard strictly. We are MAC shop and heavy with SaaS applications, company wide we have adopted Chrome as default system browser.
