Custom record to have Sale Orders as child records

I have created a custom record and would like to be able to add Sales Orders as child records. When I add a field on my custom record and choose List/Record as the type I do not see Sale Orders an option in the drop down.

Type you need is “Transaction” and then you can apply a filter to cut it down to just sales order.
