CSV import of Assembly Items
I am new to the importing thing and and having problems with the assembly item import. I have a file with the assembly items, and the corresponding member items file. When I try to import I get the error “101 is an invalid custom form”. The form that is chosen is active, and is the default form for the company. It works when creating assembly items manually. Does anyone have an idea where I can find documentation on that specific import? Or if you have an idea what would be causing the problem, that would be very helpful.

In the import option can you make sure to see the Custom Form is the same as the preferred form.
I did check that, and they are the same.
Can you make sure you have selected Assembly Item/BOM as Record Type .
That’s what I have selected.
I am going to check though that the same part number isn’t in there as an inventory item. I did a large import of those yesterday. Maybe that is what is screwing it up.

so i have been tasked by WH manager to come up with a solution to unbuild assembly items in bulk like 10 or 15 at a time.
currently i am doing individual assembly orders 1 at a time and also unbuilding them 1 at a time.
can you help me with the mapping fields for doing an import for creating new Assembly items and also the required fields in the Excel file.
i am trying a few combination but i not successful till now.
and also is there a way to do 10 Assembly item unbuild using CSV import option??
