Can you create a sales order with one item posting to revenue and other posting to deferred revenue
Hi Folks,
Was doing some testing , trying to create sales order with multiple items. One item is posting to revenue account only and the other one is revenue and deferred revenue. Getting this error message:
Could that be due to new IFRS15 regulation? Since one item’s revenue is recognized right away and other one is deferred – thus rev rec will not work properly. Just wondering folks any idea ???

You can do this – however, it requires setting up an immediate recognition rule instead that mimics the behavior. (Don’t use the flag on the item that posts to revenue). It will then post the revenue arrangements based on your invoice date.
This is driven by a programming need. It doesn’t know what to do if you mix those items together on the same order.
