Best way to accomplish Item/inventory booking?
I am trying to find any recommendations for allowing booking for rental inventory. I need the ability to block out time frames on inventory, and be able to search within availability windows for corresponding inventory.
Has anyone developed this themselves and has tips, or use a 3rd party product they can recommend?

There are some third party solutions out there that manage the whole cycle, though I don’t know them enough to provide a recommendation.
In general they rely on either inventory transfers (to a dummy warehouse) or inventory status changes to make inventory unavailable for sales or bookings. There would normally be a good amount of scripting to automate these. On the SO side of things, the item you are selling is not the asset, rather the rental service. From there, there can be a good amount of variance in how the specifics are managed, and if they are done within or outside NetSuite.
