Asset disposal at 30/09, should be 01/10 – can i still correct it?

Hi Experts! had the mistake of dating the disposal at Sept 30 when it should have been in Oct 1 just so it wouldn’t have an impact in Sept BS & IS. Can i just edit the date on the disposal’s JV straight away? Would it affect something in FAM in an ugly way?
