An Avalara alternative – Complyt? Anyone used them?

A colleague of mine recommended I use them for NetSuite as their sales tax engine is more affordable than Avalara and the integration was easy. I know they are part of the VAT IT Group and I do use VAT Compliance already, but not used them for sales tax. Anyone have any experience or insight?

I do not have any personal experience with the sales tax engine from VAT IT Group, but I have heard good things about it from other NetSuite users. They seem to be a good option for businesses looking for an affordable and easy-to-integrate sales tax engine.

Here are some things to consider when choosing a sales tax engine for NetSuite:

  • Affordability: Sales tax engines can vary in price, so it is important to compare different options to find one that fits your budget.
  • Ease of integration: The sales tax engine should be easy to integrate with NetSuite so that you can start using it quickly and easily.
  • Accuracy: The sales tax engine should be accurate and up-to-date with the latest tax rates and regulations.
  • Features: Consider what features are important to you, such as the ability to calculate taxes for multiple jurisdictions, support for tax exemptions, and the ability to generate tax reports.

If you are already using VAT Compliance from VAT IT Group, then you may want to consider using their sales tax engine as well. This will give you a single source for both VAT and sales tax compliance, which can make it easier to manage your taxes.

I recommend that you contact VAT IT Group to learn more about their sales tax engine and to see if it is a good fit for your business. They can also provide you with references from other NetSuite users who are using their sales tax engine.

Overall, it sounds like the sales tax engine from VAT IT Group is a good option to consider. It is affordable, easy to integrate with NetSuite, and accurate. It is also a good option if you are already using VAT Compliance from VAT IT Group.
