RE: Workflow Question About Automated Follow-Up Email
I’m trying to set up a lead nurturing workflow to support our sales pipeline, but have been running into difficulty getting it to work the way we want it to. Any help would be appreciated.
As part of our sales pipeline, the salesperson has a call with the lead to demo our product. The salesperson follows this call up by manually sending a personalized email (we’ll call this Email 1) to the lead that references what was discussed during the call.
We want to set up a workflow that will send an automated reminder email (Email 2) to the lead if we do not get a response to Email 1 within 5 days. The problem is that I cannot find a way to get NetSuite to detect whether Email 1 has received a response. From what I can tell, I need to set the action that sends Email 2 as “Send Campaign Email.” But Email 1 is not a campaign email, because it needs to be customized by the salesperson to speak to the specific lead it is being sent to; so building the workflow on a traditional marketing campaign does not work in this instance.
Is there a way to automate the follow-up email sequence I am describing without needing to make it part of a campaign? Or is there a way to set up a campaign in a way that allows the salesperson to customize Email 1 before sending it?
Thank you.
You need to use a saved search that confirms they received their follow up email and they did not respond. You need to make sure they your reps always use the same subject line for their follow up email… You need to create criteria that looks for message details that confirms their most recent message has the subject line you need and that the sender had your company’s domain. This will show you anyone that has received the email and did not respond.
