RE: Unapproved Sales Orders with ATP – Expected Ship Date != Earliest Availability
The workflow :
- The sales team uses the “Earliest Availability” Popup to set the “Supply Required by Date” for a new Sales Order
- The manager goes to approve, the “Expected ship date” is much later than what is presented in the popup
- The manager approves the order, and the “Expected Ship Date” now matches the “Earliest Available Date” (and what the sales team set for “Supply Required by Date”
In many cases the unapproved order shows an expected ship date in the next calendar year. It makes me wonder if the system is (intentionally or not) grabbing the due date for the most recent PO for that line item.
Is there something wrong with our company setup? Is this a limitation of the ATP module?
