we want to generate a change in committed inventory for a backordered item when we have some inventory arrive in our warehouse. But the commitment cannot be an item fulfillment because the items are serialized.
Anyone done this before in NetSuite?
I’m not sure that I fully understand your question, particularly because I don’t understand why it matters that the inventory is serialized. When you have BO items arrive the system will automatically commit them to the next/youngest orders. To change this you go to Transactions >>>> Inventory >>>> Reallocate Items. That will allow you to set which orders the inventory is committed to, serialized or not.
