RE: Bin quantity is out of sync with Location quantity

We use RF-Smart WMS. For various process reasons (such as deleting Inventory Transfers that were entered incorrectly in the first place) we have a number of items that are showing a quantity under the Inventory Detail tab in a bin but in the Purchasing/Inventory/Location is a lesser quantity (the location tends to actually be the correct quantity). Is there a way to sync or correct the bin quantity so that it matches the Location quantity?

Thanks but there is nothing in the Bin Putaway Worksheet. The bins being out of sync with the locations is I believe as a result of process, i.e. deleting transactions or transfers. Deleting these rectifies the inventory in the location but it does not reconcile the movements to and from bins. The bin quantities remains intact, hence the discrepancy between Location and Bin

Hi Mike,

I think that too hard to reconcile. my suggestion is have physical count.

Then apply to inventory.  hope this will work!

Hi mike,

the reason why the inventory bin quantity and inventory number is not tally is because of floating qty on hand that no assigned on bins.

You can use the bin put away worksheet under transaction to generate all unassigned item to bin.

then, do an audit or physical count to check the accuracy of that floating qty on hand.

Once you have the actual bin assignment, you can update the inventory detail to assign the exact bin based on physical location.
