RE: Storing Site Addresses

Currently when we enter Sales Orders, we enter a site location which is a free form text field which makes searching on that difficult. We’d like to store these locations in a way that makes them easily searchable, so we can see every order related to that site, and eventually be able to tie cases to them. We have tested creating them as child customers, but the problem is that ownership can change frequently (they are gas station sites), and the customer on the SO may or may not be the actual owner.

Is there a way to store addresses independent of customers, and be able to tie orders and cases to them?

Is there a reason why you don’t simply use multiple addresses for the customer?

Considered storing them as contacts, but the issue is they change ownership frequently, and if we move the contact to a different customer the link to the orders breaks – we have to be able to search for a site and see all transactions related to it, regardless of who the customer is or was.
