RE: Parent-Child Custom Record CSV Import

Can custom records be imported including custom Child Records?
From starting at either Parent custom record or Child, I do not see an option in the CSV mapping section to include this relationship.
If anyone has an example of this or could guide me in the custom record setup if this is possible, that would be helpful.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m running into the same issue . The parent record is a field on the child record but “Show In List” is “No” and I can’t change it because it’s part of a managed bundle. Curious if you had the same issue. Thank you!

You would have to perform the imports seperately.

For the Child if I select that, I am not seeing how to associate that with a given Parent though even if imported separately? For the mapping it just shows the fields on the child and externalId as options.

Do you have the hierarchy checkbox marked on your custom record? Also double check your form that field is not suppressed.

The parent linking field is not disabled/hidden etc. on the child’s form.

I don’t think the Hierarchy will work for me though anyway:
“Note that this hierarchy is not for the relationships between different custom record types, but rather for the relationships between instances of the same custom record type”    /app/help/helpcenter.nl?fid=section_4362612928.html

I need different custom record type definitions
