RE: Intercompany Sale to External Customer with Non-Inventory Item

Hello all,

Hope you can help me out with this.

Company with subsidiaries A and B. Subsidiary A sells a Non-Inventory item of Subsidiary B to an external customer of Subsidiary A. Note that Subsidiary B is the one that will deliver the product to the external customer of Subsidiary A. It doesn’t concern an Inventory item but it concerns a non-inventory item for resale or a service.

How can this be accomplished within NetSuite?

Thanks for helping!

If I understand correctly, Subsidiary A needs to first buy the item from Subsidiary B. This is a straightforward intercompany framework-based transaction. See Help under Account Administration > NetSuite OneWorld > Automated Intercompany Management > Automated Intercompany Management Overview

Sub A now having acquired the item, it can sell it via normal means to the customer.

Hi Olivier,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I notice that my question was not complete. Aplogies for that. What I meant is:

Note that Subsidiary B is the one that will deliver the product/service to the external customer of Subsidiary A. Hope you can advise in this as well. I did look at the intercompany drop ship feature biut that is as far as I know only for inventory items.

Thanks a lot!
