RE: Email Template with link to current record

Hi

Is there a way to create a link to the current record, which is generating the email?

For example, an employee submits a leave request.

This automatically generates an email which is sent to their supervisor which says the employee has submitted a leave request

Is there a way to include a link to the leave request requiring approval?

The leave request url is of the format:

The URL for the leave request is of the format:

https:/companyaccount.app.netsuite.com/app/common/custom/custrecordentry.nl?id=365&rectype=99&whence=

The ID is automatically generated once the employee selects ‘save & submit’ on  the leave request

Because ID is dynamic, I was wondering how to create a link to the leave request record?

I have found the answer

The URL format:

Companyaccount.app.netsuite.com/app/common/custom/custrecordentry.nl?rectype=99&id=${customrecord.id}

The non bold part of the above url can be taken from the address bar of the relevant record

The record type will remain static for the type of record that you are trying to link to

i.e.  custom record called ‘leave request’ has an internal id of 99

${customrecord.id} is taken from the internal id of the record you are trying to link to

If you are not sure what the internal id format is, when composing the email template, insert the field called ‘id’ and copy and paste this into the hyperlink
